A new place in the sun.
Lucille and Alex loved their backyard’s outlook, but they couldn’t enjoy it. The uneven, sloping landscape made it nearly impossible to use the space comfortably, and their dream of a peaceful spot to relax in the sun felt out of reach.

Determined to make the most of their outdoor space, they reached out to us for a solution. They wanted a functional, inviting area where they could sit and take in the stunning bush views—a backyard that worked with the natural landscape, not against it.

We designed and built two terraced levels, creating a flat and usable space perfect for outdoor furniture. Now, they had a dedicated area to sit, unwind, and enjoy the sunshine. Since access was tricky, all the digging had to be done by hand—over 20 tonnes of soil moved! But the effort was worth it.

The transformation was immediate. The very day we finished, Lucile and Alex were outside enjoying breakfast with a view—something they’d never been able to do before. Taking the leap to reimagine their backyard paid off, turning an underused, impractical space into one of their favourite parts of the home. Now, they have a sun-drenched retreat perfect for unwinding, entertaining, and making the most of their stunning outlook.
