Getting your new lawn ready involves a few key steps. First, we'll prepare the ground to make sure the soil is good for healthy turf growth. Then, we'll level the area to create a smooth surface so water can drain away properly.  

Once that's done, we'll carefully lay the turf, making sure the edges fit together. Regular watering is important, especially at the start, to help the turf establish strong roots. (Ask us about setting up a temporary timed watering system!)

Installing AstroTurf is a bit different. We start by making sure the ground is firm and level. Sometimes we need to add a layer of crushed rock for stability and drainage.  

Then, we lay down a special weed mat to stop any unwanted plants from popping up. Finally, we roll out the AstroTurf and secure it in place.

To finish, we spread a layer of sand over the AstroTurf. This helps to keep the blades standing upright, adds weight to the turf to keep it in place, and creates a more natural look and feel.  

With AstroTurf, there's no need to worry about watering or mowing – it's ready to enjoy as soon as it's installed!

New turf needs a bit of love and attention to really thrive. Consistent moisture is key, especially while it's taking root. Want to take the hassle out of watering? It's also normal for some settling to occur after installation. If you notice any uneven spots, just let us know and we can advise on top dressing to maintain a lovely, level lawn.

AstroTurf is super low-maintenance, but a little care goes a long way in keeping it looking its best. It's a good idea to remove any leaves, debris, or pet waste regularly. A quick brush or hose down will do the trick. Occasionally brushing the AstroTurf also helps to keep the blades upright and looking lush. And if anything spills on your AstroTurf, simply rinse it away with water. With just a little effort, your AstroTurf will stay looking fantastic for years to come.
