A backyard meant for living.

Caroline had plenty of space in her backyard, but there was just one problem—her patio was too small to be truly functional. Built at a time when outdoor living wasn’t a priority, the tiny paved area could only fit a couple of chairs. Entertaining guests or enjoying a BBQ with family? Not an option. Caroline wanted a backyard that could actually be used, not just looked at.

When Caroline reached out to us, we worked together to come up with a solution that would give her the outdoor space she’d always wanted. Expanding the paved area was key, but we also needed to ensure there was still enough lawn space for the kids to play. The goal was to create a backyard that balanced function, comfort, and aesthetics—somewhere she could entertain guests while still maintaining a green, open feel.
By carefully extending the patio, we created space for a full outdoor dining setup—a large table, chairs, and a BBQ—without overwhelming the backyard. The new layout blended seamlessly with the rest of the garden, ensuring a natural flow between the lawn and the entertaining area.
Shortly after we finished, Caroline sent us videos of her family enjoying their new outdoor space—just in time for lockdowns. While so many were stuck indoors, she and her family had a beautiful, functional backyard to enjoy. The simple addition of a thoughtfully designed patio had completely changed the way they lived in their home, proving that outdoor space isn’t just about looks—it’s about lifestyle.
